I bought this book from Left Bank Books in NYC on my first work trip there. I remember feeling like I’d bought something so precious, it still has the protective cover on it. I spend most of my money on books, to me it never feels like a massive expense because they are so important to my creative process. I love the research part before jobs and spend a lot of time in libraries or at home with my books. I love the subject of this book by Mapplethorpe - ‘a tour of one lady’s anatomy’ and that it was shot over the course of a few years.
