I’m searching for a good pair of pants; I never found a pair of pants that I just love. I like comfortable pants and clothes I can work in, that I feel comfortable in. I don’t really like to get dressed up. I like to wear the same thing every day and feel comfortable. It’s a fit, it’s a certain kind of feeling, and if they’re not right, which they never are, it’s a sadness. You know, it interrupts the flow of happiness. I’m working on it, believe me.    - David Lynch

This is the quote that encourages me to pursue my vision for PANTALON and what grounds my perception of how clothing should be approached as a designer. I only have to come back to this to remind myself of the type of person I’m creating for and why; to create thoughtful clothing to achieve that feeling of completeness and for us to have a sense of ownership over our clothing and style. That’s what I think it’s all for.

I’m interested in old things and sentiments; photographs, films, words, clothing and print that have the ability to endure in quality and remain timeless in style. From a young age I’ve always been searching for these historical references, as if they give me the answers to determine what’s truly modern.

To remain independent in every sense of the word is important because I love the time to enjoy the process and to learn my own lessons in this pursuit. Independence has been integral to my vision from the moment I decided to begin.

I value product integrity and the continuous search for quality in design and production. I love working with like-minded creatives and craftspeople in the industry who are experts in their fields and share the same passion for quality and aesthetics. It’s a pleasure to seek, gather and create for this project called PANTALON.
