Ahead of the next release - Issue 3 - I have been working with Pantalon’s visual researcher, Giulia Lanaro on developing a certain mood and attitude for the issue. We've been deep-diving for a colour palette that makes a statement - and we’ve chosen the very late nineties, early 2000s as the era to reflect upon for a shade of deep, dark and ominous crimson red. I’ve always thought bold primary colours are the most timeless and look the best against black and white. Crimson red in particular; it’s cool and sophisticated without needing much else. Here’s some select imagery pulled from our WhatsApp chat files over the last few weeks to highlight what we’re feeling inspired by. Noting simple clothing designs sans finishes which are too decorative. Enjoy the simplicity.
